A flyby of a futuristic construction out of plastic
Plastic as external cladding can possess a range of textures and colours. It is also a good material for the curvilinear forms I'm planning for my final model.

Sores/Past
Idea
Organic forms penetrated by staircase tower. Furniture and walls of below ground area are organized in concentric circles like star tracks in the sky. The idea being that light from these stars has taken many hundreds of years to reach us, they are from the past.
Materials
Main gallery is built in concrete. Smaller spaces attached to main gallery are constructed out of lighter fibreglass material. The staircase tower is rusted iron. Staircase itself

Great architecture
The designer for this simple shelter is unknown. It's tucked away in a remote national park in Southwest China, the same place where I obtained my 'Original photograph'. The elevated boardwalk takes the visitor around the entire lake, a place of spiritual significance for the local Tibetans. It caters very well to the lone traveler, encouraging intimate appreciation of the vegetation along the way. In peak season, it helps to minimize soil compaction. Timber was sourced locally. The way the boardwalk curves through the landscape allows exploration, but at the same time maintains a sense of respect for the land. Great architecture facilitates awareness!

Creative Work
This watercolour was done for a good friend who adored big cats. It was inspired by a photograph of a tiger cub, I liked the mixture of confidence, playfulness and innocence about this youngster! Compared to the photo, my take appears more 'human'. It's interesting how personal bias can be subconsciously expressed. The painting marks a significant moment for me as it was the first time I picked up a paintbrush after 5 years. The style is infused with my appreciation of Chinese paintings, which value lightness.
